NCC

The NCC in India was formed with the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948. It was raised on 15 July 1948. A committee headed by Pandit Hradaya Nath Kunjru recommended a cadet organization to be established in schools and colleges at a national level. During 1962 Sino-Indian war to meet the requirement of the Nation, the NCC training was made compulsory in 1963. The D.M college, Moga has been granted NCC platoon. The NCC certificates carry a great weightage. In addition to these, if any student wishes to specialize or train himself for a career in the armed forces, he attends camps during his stay in the college and participate in certain service attachments. Cadets are also groomed for a regular commission in the army and paramilitary forces. Besides these, the cadets are also offered opportunities to participate in additional service training programmes like the Republic Day/Independence Day Parade, Basic and Advanced Leadership camps, etc. As part of these training programmes, the cadets are provided a complete kit catering to all their needs.
